PRIVACY STATEMENT

A customer's right to privacy is of high importance to Fluke. When you register on our site, Fluke will ask you to provide your name, organization, e-mail address, and other information. We use that information to process literature requests, as well as to keep track of what topics are of interest to our readers.

Please read one or more details about our Privacy Policy.

Information we collect and use

Fluke is the owner of the information collected on this site. In some instances, the contact information may also be used by one of our distributors to get in touch with the customer. Fluke collects information from customers at several different points on our web site.

Registration forms

During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name and e-mail address). It is optional to provide other information (such as gender and function), but we encourage you to do so, so we can provide more personalized communication.   We use this information to learn more about our visitors, and to keep visitors up to date on new products, services and developments.

You will always be able to choose not to receive e-mail, either at the time of completing a form or by following the unsubscribe instructions in each e-mail that we send out.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of computer code that enables Web servers to “identify” visitors. When you visit a Web site that uses cookie technology, the site adds a cookie to your browser that includes an identifying number, which is then stored on your hard drive. Each time you initiate a session on the Fluke site, the site reads the cookie in your browser  in order to identify you and determine your access privileges. Cookies do not store any of the information that you have provided to the site. They are simply identifiers.

You have the ability to delete cookie files from your hard drive at any time. However, you should know that cookies may be necessary to provide you with access to much of the content and features of the Fluke site. Cookie technology also enables registered customers to take advantage of certain useful features on the site including “remember my password”.

Log Files / Usage tracking

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, track customer’s movement and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.

Surveys

Participation in surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Any information provided by you in relation to surveys will only be analyzed in consolidated form, in other words together with all other responses. Names of individual participants will not be linked to any results of the survey. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site and for internal research purposes. Contact information will be used only to notify winners. No personally identifiable information will be disclosed or shared with third parties.

Contests

From time to time this site features contests that ask visitors for contact information (like name and e-mail address). The customer’s contact information is used to notify if they have won a prize in the contest.

How we use the information

Information is used for the purpose of fulfilling requests and providing the newsletters. In addition we may also use the information to identify potential products and offerings that we feel will be of interest to you. The information gained may also be used to help us plan other Fluke products and services as well as future event offerings.

We use a variety of security measures to maintain the safety and confidentiality of your personal information. All customer registration information is contained behind a firewall and only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights to our production systems. The database is further protected behind a firewall.
